In Flanders Fields

As we observe Remembrance Day in Canada today, I just wanted to share a few things with you...

In Flanders Field

Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)

(Every school age child memorizes this poem)

*****

My Grandpa - he came home to his family, for which we will forever be thankful.

*****

That Brief Moment of Silence

I see,
soliders running
through the smog.

I see,
soldiers falling
to their death.

I see,
families crying
over just one letter.

I see,
soldiers lowered
in Flander's Field.

That is what I see,
in that brief moment of
Silence.

Tell M.K. I love her poem!! I'm printing it and putting it in my journal, and I've added it to my blog post on Remembrance day. :0)
