Home

I love home in all its forms.

My home is comfortable and protects my family from the weather year round. Our home is peaceful and full of happy memories, fun and love. When I am home with my family, it is the safest place on earth, and my favorite place to be.

I also love my community. This little town I call home is a wonderful place to raise a family. We are surrounded by people who care about us, and though we have some of the small town annoyances, like everyone knowing everything about you, those same annoyances often turn into blessings.

I call Canada home and I love living here. Like any other country, we have our problems, but it is home. I love that we live on the prairies, yet can see the mountains. I love the change in the seasons and I even love the beautiful snow we got this morning.

So where do you call home? What is your favorite thing about where you live?

What I like about Texas is that I never have to put my short sleeves into storage. I don't get to wear them every week in the winter, but every once in a while, I do.

I love Idaho because it's like a sliver of heaven. I love the snow capped mountains and the smell of wet sagebrush after a spring rain. I love that its not as hot as Arizona and not as cold as North Dakota, a happy medium where we get to experience a little of all types of weather...but nothing severe. I love living in a small town and having a larger one only five miles away.

Don - I'm freezing right now, so warm does sound good, but I do love the snow.

Christine - I love Idaho as well. And I do love the fact that we only live 20 minutes from the city. Close enough for me.

I love Willard because I have mountains out one window, and trees out the other. I love that the families here truly love each other. They play together and work together and enjoy it. I love that my neighbors are there for me, but aren't always underfoot, that there are animals, but it doesn't smell like manure, that I can go running and not worry about my own safety or that of the kids I leave at home. When we got here, we weren't sure it was a good fit, now it's very hard to consider leaving.

Josi - sounds like you live in a beautiful place. I love the manure comment. Having a pleasant smelling town certainly is a plus.
